About Us

Our Company

Tichenor Furniture Services was established in 1958 by Paul Tichenor, a master cabinetmaker who studied at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, MI and at Winterthur in Philadelphia.  After nearly 60 years in business, we still do things the same way, "The Right Way".

Our shop, located at 47 N. Main St. Honeoye Falls NY 14472, was  built in 1910 as a shade and awning shop, which was later converted as a Ford garage.  The second floor has solid maple flooring which at one time was used as the local school's first gymnasium, then later used as a theater for traveling road shows and was also the first place locally to show silent movies.

We have restored many unique pieces over the years including a New York City subway booth.  The White House has used our services on several occasions and so has the Philadelphia Museum of Art.  We've restored a table owned by Marilyn Monroe and have also had Monet and Renoir paintings in the shop.  Locally we have long standing relationships doing work for The Genessee Valley Club, Eastman Kodak, Granger Homestead, Paychex, Genesee Country Museum, and the George Eastman House.

Please feel free to stop by and see us and let us show you why so many people trust us with their restoration needs.

Our Philosophy

Our motto is "Craftsmanship" and our philosophy has always been "if we are going to do the job, we are going to do it right or not at all".
